Leave baby chicks for overnight trip?

It just looks like they have very little 'running around' room(space not taken up by heater/feeder/waterer)....and can they eat those pellets?

I know the brooder plate is large, but I'm not comfortable leaving for an overnight trip with a heating lamp plugged in and no one here.
It's starter feed so it's crumbles, yes they've been eating it and making a mess as all chicks do
