In one cage in my garage I have Cora, who has been broody for almost 3 weeks. In a cage next to her I have 8 chicks that I picked up yesterday. The broody girl's cage is open so they can get to food and water and their dust bath. I opened the baby chicks cage to play with them, and Cora pretty much ran in there. I moved her little nest box in there with them, but left the brooder plate in case anyone doesn't get under her, but right now they are all peacefully asleep under mama. Do I need to watch her, or since she has made it this far does it mean that she will accept them? ( I could always put Cora's eggs under the other broody I have.)

Day and a half later and "Mama" and babies are doing great!

And so far we've had one egg hatch from the eggs I put under Mama number two!
