Can I leave 10 chicks at home for 8 hours if they have heat, water, food and a lid to the box?

I do it everyday in the spring with a 100 chicks at a time I wouldnt worry as long as everything is set up properly

I just use large enough brooders so they have plenty of room to get as far or close to the heat lamp as they need to be comfortable, I dont use lids either, I use 2x4in welded wire on wooden frames on half of the top of my brooder and plywood on the other half so there is plenty of airflow But I also only raise chicks from spring through summer, winter was the hardest for me to keep temps correct and I had the largest loss rate when I raised chicks in winter
