leaving not a trace or feather

your dog might of just been treying to play and your dog wouldnt have eaten the ducks whole

Could you try to find another home for her first? Someone else (without chickens) might want a free shepherd as a watch dog or something.

exactly wolfhound before you kill an animal that has been bred by man for these things

I am working on that. I called the local shelter to ask them, and they thought she'd be adopted or that they would find her a rescue. She is a pure German Shepard and very loyal, but she can't be here. It is so hard because I do love her and she has been good to us, but we just can't have that.

Please don't kill her. She's made a mistake and is only doing what some dogs will do naturally. German Shepherds are beautiful dogs and I'm sure you can re-home her.

If she isn't too old, maybe you can donate her to your local police dept. for specialized training and she can be used in law enforcement.

I agree with Wolfhound - I would highly recommend re-homing her over shooting her. If you have kids and she's rabidly attacking them or yourself, then I'd say yes, put her down, but otherwise she is just doing what she's programmed to do. I know, I know, it's infuriating to catch them in the act like that. Believe me, I know how you feel. But it also occurs to me that if her canine companion died, and recently (?) she may be upset about that. Good luck, I hope you can get something worked out!
