I have two week old chicks that are being raised by a mama hen. We aren’t keeping all of them and the new owners are hoping to take them soon. My question is since it has been consistently hot here 80-85 degrees F plus humidity (Southern Ontario) will the chicks need a heat lamp without mama hen? I rarely see them under her as it is now. Just sometimes when they get sleepy they will nap under her. It seems more for comfort than for warmth.

I'd say aim for 3 weeks for the new owners to come and get them, just to be on the safe side as far as not needing heat. Very unlikely that they need any additional heat with your temperatures, but it's just a week more, so better IMO to play it safe.
