Hi, everyone
I am interested in building LED light fixtures for chicken coops.

I have been building custom lights for more than ten years now. Prices have fallen LEDS are now better than ever. I will be doing research on wide spectrum lighting to help our chickens lay eggs longer into the winter. I will post pictures of sample and prototype fixtures, in the near future.

Welcome not to mention they say lights drive chickens mad. Thankfully I'm in the desert where the sun lives so even my winter days are 12 hours long summer 16 hrs. But for those interested good luck!

GO FOR IT!..
I have several led bulbs hanging from the ceiling of my big egg house. A timer is set for- on at 5am/ off 7am & on at 6pm/ off 9pm.
A low budget set up which helps so much even during rainy periods when the sun doesn't shine. It has been raining here for a month straight. without the extra lighting.. I would be losing big bucks in feed w/o a sufficient yield to justify have so many mouths to feed.
