At the TSC Swap, is it such that we can bring pullets and cockrels that we've hatched to sell or swap? I have a couple 7wk old Easter Eggers I need to rehome. [DH says I've got too many. Like that's a bad thing? ]

It was very informal, in the parking lot. Everybody was working out of the back of their car or trucks.

Disaster! Well, after formally supporting the new Lee's Summit chicken ordinance passage, I now have to revoke same. Animal Control, it appears, is so much more about control than it is about animals it's astonishing. Little men seeking to justify their little badges. We are zones commercial and have had 17 chickens out back for months. They couldn't touch us because we were more than 400 feet from the nearest residence which is what the old ordinance stated. Well, now this "officer" has been in here imperiously demanding that we reduce the flock to 6 according to the new "law."

Anyone know how to go about seeking an exemption?

Guess I probably should have updated before now, LOL! Anyway, we went and saw the city manager about it and were able to keep all the hens since we'd already had them.
