leg feathering

I'm wondering if leg feathering will show up without either parent having leg feathers, or if one of the parents must have it?

I've seen very small, sparse leg feathering show up from parents who do not have any, yes. I've heard of Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas occasionally popping up with this as well as another breed I cannot name at the moment.

In most cases, you must have at least one parent though.

Hmm. That doesn't help assure me that these are not part bantie. Of course, I don't want to just wait! I'm hoping these all have the Golden Laced Wyandotte rooster as their father, but there's that sparse leg feathering.
