leg or hip injury to 8 week old pullet

Last Monday, one of our pullets recieved a leg or hip injury. We immobilized it for 4 days and kept her seperated from the coop. Last night we reintroduced her to the other chicks. She is able to get around but holds her leg up and wont walk on it. She is eating and drinking fine. Will this heal on its own? Is there anything else we can do to help her in mending her injury?

You might want to keep her confined in a small cage for a week or two so it can heal. If she keeps using it too much, it is going to take longer to heal up properly.

Chickens can heal up pretty well if given the opportunity. Just don't give her too much room so she has to sit still for the most part.
