I have a chick that can't walk and keeps the bottom part of it's foot turned 90 degrees outward. It's not slipped tendon cause I can turn it's leg back without problem and it not screaming. And it's not splayed leg because it's legs are the normal space apart.
The only strange thing is that it hops on one leg and keeps the other leg turned outward and in it's belly feathers. And it also seems to be shivering even though it's under a heat lamp. I made the chick a hock protector because it leg was getting sore. I scratch its neck, dip it's beak into water to make it drink, and feed it chick starter with a hard boiled egg. Everything seems normal except it wheezes every time it takes a drink. Is there something I have missed? I can't find out what it is.
