legal ramifications in predator control

It could be a situation like the small town I live in, where we don't have animal control. So you are on your own with a nuisance domestic animal. All the police will do is put you on the waiting list for a trap.

I undertand that, but where I live you are likely to be sued for shooting someone's dog. Also, you may have the right to do something but it doesn't always protect you from complications like lawsuits, regardless of where you live.

I see your point.

I just don't get it! The dog owner wants justice for 'this crime' but what about his part in all of this? Isn't it the dog owners responsibility to keep the dog on their own property? Or are all farmers just supposed to allow the neighbors dogs over to terrorize customers and livestock alike?

The farmer needs a lawyer! A good lawyer can get that thrown out easily.

what if it was the guys kid instead of livestock... different situation then huh... i say forget the legallity of it all do whats right... and remind others what is right like the post let all involved know ahead of time what the ramifications are!!also i love that no trespassin law in texas
