one of my 8week old legbars has recently injured her leg she got her wing stuck in the brooder I put in the grow out pen in case they got scared I assume she hurt her leg trying to get out any ideas of what I can do she’s eating and drinking and I’ve separated her to stop bullying but she is really struggling to stand and can’t get around stretches her leg out in front of her when lying down have a video but will not let me attach too large please help with any advise xxx

Welcome to BYC. You would need to post your video to YouTube with a link posted here. A picture of her standing from the front or back might help, even if you have to hold her up. Sometimes leg bone deformities can become more pronounced with age, or there could have been a slipped tendon or other injury. A poultry vitamin with riboflavin (vitamin B2) in the water or food, or human B complex 1/4 tablet daily crushed onto food might be helpful.

What does it look like??

It looks normal no cuts or broken skin, but sitting down she holds it out either in front or out to the side, can’t stand or put weight on it really keeps falling but is eating and drinking x

Thank you! Ahhh ok, I will get some vitamins and I’ll take more pictures of her standing x

Do you see any swelling of the hock joint or any redness or blistering? Hopefully, she just has a sprain, and those need time to heal with limited activity (no jumping.) The chick below is thought to have a slipped tendon. Legs can grow crooked as well as seen in this article with pictures:

Hi, yes slight swelling on the hock joint, do I need to do anything to her leg strap it or just leave it to heal she’s not jumping round thankfully she is doing quite well resting x

I would watch it, and try to tell if supporting it with tape or vet wrap might help. The problem with wrapping it, is that it can adjust and become too tight, causing swelling or cutting off circulation. If you feel it is a slipped tendon, then you might need to try putting it back into place and splinting. I have never done that, and not many have had good luck fixing slipped tendons. Frequently, I think those may be leg bone deformities that have worsened with growth, as in the Reasearch Gate link I posted in post 6. Here is a thread about a peachick with slipped tendon:
