Leghorn Contest - Contest Ended - Prize for 1st winner - 5 winners

Most people aren't aware they come in anything besides whites and browns. I'm trying to change that and not only show the other approved colors but to create new ones to show what can be done with selective breeding when you have 5 or 6 different colors to work with.
Yes, I am glad you are bringing awareness to the different colors and also the new ones of your own. Some of those colors were just stunning, even more so than Josie Wales, even though he’s a beautiful bird. Those thin, wispy saddle feathers (I think they’re called) are so pretty.
You are doing a great job producing “beautimus” birds. :drool Just a weird word I use to describe beauty. :gig

He is striking. Up until I saw your thread on all your Leghorns the other day, I wasn’t aware there were so many colors of Leghorns. I love all the different colored feathers with that white ear lobe. I just haven’t seen that many before.
That is one of the reasons I made this contest. I wanted people to know there are other colors.

Unfortunately though there are many colors not a lot of people have the other colors or at least not in the US.
I really don't even see many on here. It will be interesting to see what shows up.

Are you going to enter your white leghorn?
Oh my goodness, I hadn’t even thought about entering her. I don’t even have a good picture of her. She’s just a little, non-descript, 3 mo girl with a pink comb and a little bit of poo on her tail feathers. All my birds are in the middle of their juvy molt and some are kind of scraggly looking.

Awe. I think you should still enter her. I don't see why not. All chickens are beautiful. I think you should.

Unique fact: Chickaletta is a “Meyer Hatchery Meal Maker,” a bird gifted from the hatchery. Once she starts laying eggs, I will donate the eggs to a family in need.

Can’t a girl eat and have her picture made without being photobombed by the Barred Naked Neck roo. Darn bird! 55CA6178-0A4F-4B48-8F05-493792910857.jpeg
