Leghorn, Delaware or Columbian Rock?

Don't know about the hen, but that roo looks exactly like the sex-link roos I had. He was such a sweet boy ... a really good roo, but I couldn't keep him

He was upsetting the neighbors, and I didn't want to cause trouble.

If it was a sex link it should have looked different than the hen right? Because they looked identical all three looked like white leghorn chicks. All yellow little fuzzballs, yellow legs, and if they were red sex links would they wouldn't have looked like that?

Yes, red sex link hens are that orangish color with chipmunk markings - the roos are light yellow puffballs. Maybe the roos got mixed in the the del hens somehow ?

Dont' know what else to say

I have a hatchery del hen, she does look similar to the pic of the one you posted - not good quality, but the chicks I wanted were "out of stock" so I had to pick a substitute. My son likes white chickens so I took her. Mine has more barring on her neck though, but does have the dark tail feathers just like yours. I don't have a picture of her yet though. I should take some pics of the little buggers before they get too big

She's 15 weeks this week.

That sounds like what could have happened or the feed store could have purposely put the few extra sexlink roos they had in with the deleware hens expecting no one would keep them long enough to know the difference (we bought them the friday befor Easter)

My "Delaware" hen (I am going to call her that because there was absolutely no chipmunk markings on her) is the sweetest chicken out of the whole bunch and she has been laying 6 eggs a week for me since she started laying around 18 weeks. Not long for you to wait.

Now I am just disappointed because one good thing about having a roo is you can have chicks and I really don't want to breed these guys not knowing exactly what they are and not having a female that is the same breed. Of course I could breed them to my EE and call them EE chicks I guess?

Yes, the purpose of sex links is so they can be ID'd at hatch by color difference.

Here is a pic of my hatchery deleware ....
You can see that she got weak barring - but maybe it'll come in more pronounced after she molts. She is 15 weeks ....
