Is it a dq from show if a leghorn has a few red flecks in his white earlobes?Or is it just a fault?

Its supposed to be a DQ, but I have seen my fare share of birds like that that don't get DQed. If you show it I am sure they will just mark it down. How much red? May I see pics?

I can try to get a picture tomorrow

its in the crease of his earlobe.

It depends on the age of the bird and the amount.Positive white in cockerel or pullets face is a DQ,but defects in cocks and hens.More than 1/3 red in lobes DQ,less than 1/3 a defect. Both traits need to be watched in the breeding pen .
