I rescued the below bird and have been nursing her back to health. She’s grown a lot in the time I’ve had her but I’m still unsure as to the breed, sex, or even age of her. From others opinions I’ve gathered she’s about 4 months old. Her tail feathers were torn out when I found her but they’re growing in nicely, so looking for a tail scyth isn’t an option when trying to identify the sex. No eggs and no crowing as of yet. As for breed, I’ve mostly heard leghorn and boiler bird, but also heard white rock as well. What do you all think? There are a lot of random breed of hens and roosters from all around the neighborhood is it possible for checks to be mixed breed?
