Leghorn Question

    Do 3 week old pullets develop little combs faster than other breeds? I have a white and light brown leghorn pullet from Ideal and both have small combs growing quickly...yellowish in color. I hope they are not BOTH roos!!!!

    combs doesnt mean they are roos. i think mine had small yellow combs at 3 weeks, i would be worried if they have red combs though, or red waddles.

    my leghorn females have huge combs compared to my other breeds (br, glw, bo, and jg)

    I wouldn't worry unless they are turning pinkish red and fatter. the leghorn girls will have flopped over combs...so cute!

    Don't worry, Leghorns naturally have big combs.
