Chickens just began to lay at 17 weeks. I have two Leghorns and I found one egg last Wednesday and haven’t seen one since. Is there something wrong with my chicken?

Hello, welcome to BYC!

Can you provide a bit more info - What do your pullets eat? What is your coop/run set up? Do they free range (maybe the eggs are in odd places?)?

they eat 18% protein egglaying feed, mealworms, fresh fruit.
they free range mostly but they have access to the coop. the first egg was actually in the nesting box. I’ve checked all around the yard and I wasn’t able to find one.

if you can try and give them some calicium. What are you feeding them layer or something else? It may have taken too much out of her to lay another one. That is still pretty young for a chicken to lay
I will try the calcium! thank you so much for your help!!
