Leghorns?

Anything is possible from TSC. Not all California Whites have spots when they are chicks. Sometimes the spots come in later. I’ve had one CW in the past and she got many more spots as she feathered in.
Considering they were just labeled leghorns I’m assuming it could mean any type of leghorn 🤷🏻‍♀️ I was clueless when I bought them so I didn’t ask any questions 🤦🏽‍♀️

I haven’t noticed any cocky behavior yet, but I’ll have to keep my eye out to see if they show those characteristics too!

It's kind of the way they carry themselves - they sort of strut, straight off. Lol, like they say "Cock of the walk".
And they'll be pretty alert. Like, when you feed, they'll stop, hold their head high and proud, tilt it to one side and keep one eye right on you, and watch everything.

I got a leghorn from tractor supply last year and she didn't have any black markings- it'll be interesting to see how yours feather out!

I’m not sure if any of mine are leghorns at this point 🤦🏽‍♀️ The one clearly isn’t because of all the black but the others that were all white now have brown feathers 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi all! I’m new to the chick world! I got 4 leghorn chicks. One of them has some black feathers and it’s feathers/wings are much shorter than the other chicks. Doing my research i haven’t found that to be common with leghorns. Anyone familiar with this? Why would one chicks wings be soo much shorter then the other chicks the same age?
