I believe I purchased some Leghorns. I have other smaller chicks as well.

The Leghorns seem to be very aggressive. Is this common with hens? Do I have roosters?

Any info on Leghorns would be appreciated.

They are very confrontational with each other.

I have had them for 3 weeks.

This is when I first got them. The smaller ones are Rhode Island Reds.

As I have stated on several threads since I joined BYC last year, the meanest rooster I ever had was a White Leghorn. This was over 50 years ago and he had been an adorable Easter chick. I believe the green dye he was colored with marked him for life. I called him Satan.

That kiddie pool is tight space for all the birds in there, with no place to cool off away from the heat lamp.
Birds in the first pic are not leghorns.

Integrating different ages of birds can be tricky.....the aggression you see maybe territoriality.

Yes, the kiddie pool was temporary. When I first brought them home it was still pretty chilly with freeze warnings and the shed is not insulated.
I got the hay bales to put them around the perimeter at first. When the bigger birds started running over the little ones I separated them ( as shown in the 3rd picture). Last weekend the bigger birds started getting up on the hay bales. Now I have a double stack between the two.
