LEGHORNS

I just gotta ask, cause I know someone else here's thinking it, too...........

How do the green eggs taste?

Depends on who you ask

They taste the same as white eggs or brown eggs.....

What's in a color? A rose by any other color would still smell as sweet.

Oddly enough, I am one that is pretty certain that I can tell by taste, what color candy coating is on an M&M, especially yellow and blue. Brown, orange and red taste the same, but yellow and blue taste different..... yet eggs.....

I can also tell a difference between Pepsi and Coke, as well as catfish from bluegill from walleye....

But eggs? Nah!

Wonder if anyone else has an opinion?

I know about the eggs cause I found the right answer on the internet!

Wonder if green eggs taste like mold, guacamole, or mint..... Imagine going to a Farmers Market and setting up a table with say mint flavored cupcakes. Tell people they were made with those green eggs and say nothing more. Wonder how many people would think or ask if the green eggs made that flavor? Wonder how much they'd pay for a dozen of those green minty eggs?

... There is no difference in the flavor between a white egg and a brown egg if raised in an identical manner.

There is DEFINITELY a difference between the normal white egg bought in a store, vs a farm raised egg.

I agree 100%

The egg on the right looks to be fresher or maybe grade AA while the egg on the left looks more like a grade A egg to me. Once cooking begins it is hard to tell. Of course there is a big difference between the color of the yoke of the commercial egg on the left and the yard egg on the right

Since the brown color is added to the exterior of the shell about one hour before the hen lays the egg there is absolutely no dietary difference between a white or a brown egg unless you go to the trouble to lick and suck the brown color and incidental chicken poo off of the egg shell. Besides, ALL eggs are white on the inside were the eggs' contents meets the shell.

There is a big difference between yard eggs and most grocery store eggs. The vast majority of commercial eggs are custom fed to produce a pale yoke and a delicate taste. Yard eggs or true free range eggs on the other hand have a richer darker colored yoke, and a stronger taste that I enjoy but it is not a taste that every consumer appreciates. If we all liked the taste of yard eggs then every layer hen would be fed to produce this type of egg.
