Leghorns???

I would saw White leghorn, which they are wonderful egg layers. i reas they lay around 350 eggs a year! And prob RIR. this is a red star










see how they have the rusty stripes down their backs?

Yes I see that. Mine don't have that stripe' you are right. What about the black one? It's all black but yellow wing tips and yellow rump.

scroll down a little. you will see a black chick with yellow butt.

It kind looks like that. But it has yellow wing tips too.

Is the white one getting its wing feathers 2x as fast as the other chicks, because my leghorns sure for wings before everyone else in the brooder, and I don't know what the reddish ones are, but I don't think they are red sex links. I could be totally wrong.

Hmm after seeing that link I'm going to wager that your orange chicks are rir. And that perhaps an Australorp is your black one...but it looks like your has fewer spots, could just be a slight difference but same breed though.

My money is on white rock and a RIR. I don't think the black one is a barred rock. They are all very cute....

Thanks you guys! I'm scared now that all my hens are going to be mean! After reading about "production reds". I sure hope not!! Today I'll post a pic of the one with the white on wings! And I'll post these girls again in a week or two!

Just handle your babies and they won't be mean. A lot of people don't like leghorns because they aren't friendly, but mine are because I handled them.
