Hello
big_smile.png
, I just joined but have been reading the posts for a long time. Anyway I have been working on my own line of bantam barred longtails. And after seeing some photos I think I want to start my own line of buff barred/lemon cuckoo. I plan to cross my best barred rooster over wyandotte hens and cross the f1 back to the wyandottes and keep doing that till I have the desired buff cuckoo with buff tails. What do you guys think?

Okay so heres the chicks that caught my eye and sparked this idea. They are crele/cuckoo x white laced red and I read somewhere that wlr is dominant to everything but now that they are feathered out more I think they are definitely red/buff barred or maybe there just the wlr pattern. What do you guys think? Of course this is the juvenile pattern. But could I use these to start a buff/red barred line or will they not breed true? The third chick is out of the crele/cuckoo cock and a white americauna hen. I was just wondering if he has ghost barring or? It is very pale brown in person. Sorry if there are too many photos and thanks for all the input.
