Your pics of Pavo muticus imperator (post 49 of shut down thread) are beautiful birds. Is there a name for the trait of having the first 1/3 of the wing blue like that? I don't think I've ever seen an imperator in real life. Here some of the black shoulder peas have a dark blue part of the wing, but its not all blue like the imperators, what I've seen in the black shoulders is black (duh) with the center dark blue. Sorry if that's a stupid question.
I have another I might as well ask. Are the colors of india blue peas consistant? What I am asking is if someone posted a picture of a purple black shoulder, for instance, would it be recognized everywhere as a purple black shoulder, or do other countries have different nomenclature? Sorry about spelling errors, for some reason spell check doesn't work for me.

Hi Trefoil
only so much this are pictures from wild Pavo muticus imperator in Northern Thailand.
I'm sorry but I want to write any more. I am here not treated well and shown as a liar.
I'll show some pictures but no more comment.

I am very sorry (but not surprised) you feel that way. It seems like every forum has a few bullies that try to dominate the conversation by attacking anyone who doesn't feel the way they do. Personally I don't believe in encouraging them but can certainly understand others feeling its not worth the trouble. Thanks for the pictures, they are greatly appreciated by the rest of us.

Yes thank you for taking the time to post your wonderful photos here and I wish you good luck in your green peafowl breeding and conservation! I do hope you don't leave the forum...
