Hi folks! I am Theresa. My spouse Dana and I live in Grass Valley, CA. I grew up with eggs layers and meat birds. My wife is a first time chicken owner. We have 6 ladies of laying age now. One of the gals is a broody Buff Orpington that I got some fertilized eggs for. She's hatched 9 of them and they are thriving. We even got a Turken out of that hatch. Fun! I look forward to learning a bunch here.:highfive:

When I accidentally got a couple of naked neck (show girls) from purchasing hatching eggs, I thought they were so ugly only a mother could love them. Now, they've grown on me. I might wind up keeping one or two. 😊
