Less than 12 hours to go till hatch(hopefully)

Have just ordered some 10 day olds ready to pick up Saturday in case they don't hatch x

Sadly not! Today is day 26. Hubby will be tossing them out later today! We did however go and buy 12 day old Sussex. One buff and 2 speckled. Charlie, Dilly and Sapphire.

The latest update is hubby has cracked one of the eggs(other being cracked as we speak) and it is fully formed and fills the egg, so we did something right, but also something went wrong. I did a post a while ago about the shape of the egg and it looked like it had expanded slightly on one side. The second chick was also fully formed but not quite as big.

Any suggestions as to what might have happened? Our bator is a r-com automatic. It is set at 37 degrees and we kept the water reservoir full so it couldn't have dried out. (my friend has hatched several batches in this bator with 100% success rate)

Feel a bit sad for them, but our 13 day old babies make up for it.
