Less waste feeder experiment

I bought 2 ice cube bins.1 is mounted and the other slides in the top for easy removal and cleaning.
So far it's working good and they seem to like it.And i don't see many pellets on the floor.I don't use
bulk storage of food in my coop.

Good idea because they cant throw out the crumbles on to the floor. where it gets trampled and wasted. It will work for chickens like you have, standards , that can reach deep down. I have a mix of sizes, so lil ones would not be able to reach with their short neck.

Yep probably wont be good for small chickens,i did put some bricks around it for my Dominiques to give them some lift.
 
Good idea....too deep to bill out and too narrow to jump into or perch on.
