Buffs do go broody, but it depends on the individual

I have an almost year old buff orp who is broody and now proudly sitting on 15 guinea eggs. She's had them for two weeks and shows no sign of wanting to leave them.

For me, as a new chicken keeper, the way I could tell broody from just wanting to be left alone to lay an egg was my broody girl growls!

still 14 eggs. air cells are large, and some chicks are in the cell maybe tomorrow...
