Hi guys, I'm picking up some eggs from a neighbor tomorrow to put underneath my first broody!!

Needless to say, I am a little excited.

I've read on here in passing about letting eggs rest before putting them in an incubator. Does that rule apply to putting eggs under a broody? They aren't shipped, just picking them up from down the road.

THANK YOU!!

You know, I've never really thought about it. I just stick them under the hen at dusk and call it good when I'm using local eggs. I think that as long as they are handled carefully and not jounced all around from point A to point B they should be fine. Broody hens rock! Have fun with your project!
