One question - why do you need an automatic door opener? Why shut the door? The chickens will go in and out when they need to. With your enclosed run and high board fence, it seems unlikely predators will attack.

Very nice BYC page. All your hens are so pretty and happy. I love the playhouse converted coop. I was wondering if you wanted a little more ventilation for winter. Especially if you're in a cold climate like me.
