Hmmm interesting idea, cleaning them would be a breeze!
...but....I see the nesting material, and possibly eggs, being scratched right out of those nests.
How big are those bins?

Cleaning is a breeze, this is what we used for nesting boxes in the old coop, they are rather large totes. Especially with a broody and her golfballs it was easier to just move everything over! The girls do scratch some of the material out , but it's not too bad! We have a friend that had to get out of raising chickens when she moved and she has offered her wooden nesting boxes so hopefully soon they'll have those!
