Let the Controversy Begin!!

Thank you for the input Wynette, but with all due respect: Once you did actually read it you found it to be perfectly appropriate, right? 60 posters have read this and so far only one person is offended and judged a post he didn't even take the time to read. I don't feel I need to change it, I feel that any person with common sense would read the post, as you did and realize what the title refers to.

By the way, I would love to get ChickenLady on the board, but she may be too old school for the internet, lol! That would be fun though!

just that most will look at a thread with such a title, just that, its why i looked, and i only participated because it's a good question

I was indeed hoping that someone would offer me onion rings to shut up...

PS, I'm a pullet, not a roo.

Yup - nothing wrong that I can see in here!

Your title DOES tend to make folks think you're looking for controversy though; so, I think you need to be a bit less defensive when peeps comment on it. 'Nuf said! Carry on!

Does the warm grease running down my chin offer any hint? YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

I'll clarify: I apparently think like Laurajean because I have enjoyed reading all the posts in this thread to see the different opinions of people more experienced than me. I also understand her decision to go with the 'chickenlady's' recommendation. I equated 'controversy' with difference of opinion, not a 'fight'. I was surprised that anyone else thought of it as anything other than a difference of opinion. Thanks, Moderator, for straightening everybody out.

I haven't read all the posts but this just brought up what I hear sooooooooooooooooo much from horse people. EVERYONE has a different opinion about doing things and whoever is talking is always in the "know", it gets discouraging trying to find out a simple answer to a question! I would do whatever you feel is right. I did give mine some treats and had some grit in when I did it. I had 26 of them so there was no "play" outside until I put them in their coop/run. But if I'd only had a small number of chicks then I probably would have! Each person has a different opinion so gather the information and decides what works best for you!!
