Let the nail biting begin! Poults in the mail!

Never done turkeys, so take this with a grain of salt or get other input, but for my baby chicks what worked GREAT was to mix their crumbles with water so it was like applesauce, maybe a bit thicker as the crumbles soak up the water. That seemed to help a lot to get them rehydrated and avoid pastey butt. Not sure if turkeys have that issue as chicks?

Also offer plain water of course.

Sorry to hear your week slate didn't make it I had that feeling when you said you had to separate it being so week. I would give for a couple of days and if everything continues looking good you can stop. What are you feeding them they need a higher protein starter than chicken chicks do.

They’re on turkey starter. 30% protein. 👍

Ordered 10 bourbon reds from ideal poultry and 6 were doa. 2 more died the next day… now we have 4 chicks of random breeds that we didn’t order that were “packing peanuts”…. Of course the kids love them so they’ll eventually be added to our flock. I guess it’s just an excuse for another coop addition.
