I have a 3 year old golden laced polish acting really lethargic, wings out, tail down, mouth open, pale face. It wasn’t terribly hot in our area today, probably only got to 90° if that, any advice would be appreciated. Doesn’t seem egg bound but can kinda hear her when she’s breathing. She’s our favorite girl

Do they have shade? Shallow flat pans of shaded water to stand in work well to cool them off. Do not place them in ice cold water, just cool water. Have multiple water stations, use shade in trees, bushes, or make some shade for them (tables, tarps, etc.) Is your coop small and hot inside? Make sure they have a lot of ventilation.

90 degrees is still quite warm for chickens, they can tolerate worse, but any other health issues might make them more susceptible. Everything you mentioned except for the pale face sounds heat related. Having a pale face on a chicken could be a sign of anemia or malnutrition. I have found with my chickens when they were sick the first sign was they were eating less. Do what the other person said about shade, and you can check on her crop to see if she’s eating well, and see how she is pooping too. If she is eating and pooping normally she might just be having a bad reaction to the heat. I wish you the best with your hen.
