So this guy has been fine until today. I got home from work and noticed immediately that he was abnormal.
He just stands and has his eyes closed. He is the smallest of our 5.
They have been going outside for a few weeks now all day with temps over 70 degrees. Come in to brooder at night. I turned off their heat last week after weaning them down to 75 which is where our house normally stays.
His crop is empty. I beak dipped him in vitamin/probiotic water and he swollowed that. That is what they always have. I also gave him some nutridrench straight into his beak a little at a time and then a little more water.
There are mostly normal poos with some darker ones that could be abnormal. See pic.
They have been on medicated chick starter the whole time.
I was going to go one and treat for coccidia as I have Corid powder and unmedicated feed to switch to.
Do I worry about him not having the probiotic/electrolyte water? Can I add that in as well?
No injuries or wounds that I can see. Some sneezing from all the kids but is occasional and no discharge.
Help me help Jackie.

I would agree with treating with Corid for possible coccidiosis. The poops don’t look too bad. The one either has some cecal poop attached or it might be some bloody mucus. Do you have the Corid liquid or the powder? If liquid, give him 3 drops tonight of undiluted Corid. If powder mix 1 1/2 tsp into 10 ml or 2 tsp water, and give 3 drops of that. Stop the vitamins while on Corid. You can give some plain yogurt mixed into some watery feed for probiotics.

Dosage of Corid is 1 1/2 tsp of the powder or 10 ml of the liquid Corid per gallon of water for 5-7 days. Mix a new batch daily. Keep the bedding dry and fresh to prevent him getting any droppings into his beak.

I have the powder and just finished prepping the water. Jackie is much more alert and active! The girls being close helped. I gave him his starter dose and then offered his new, unmedicated food and he ate!!! I went ahead and gave a starter dose to all the others. That is what we do in the dog/cat field of vet. Med.

Fingers crossed!!!

Sometimes they can show similar symptoms if just not getting enough to eat and drink, especially if they are low in the pecking order. They are right in the middle of developing that. Glad he has perked up some. Will check in here on your thread tomorrow.
