Hello, everyone! We have a little one who we found with pasty butt this morning. We cleaned her up and we saw her poop, but ever since then she’s been very lethargic and wobbly - falling asleep while standing and just wobbly on her feet. Do you guys have any recommendations? We’ve got probiotics and electrolytes in the water and I have been able to get her to drink a little.

Feed her egg yolk. and possibly some coconut oil to get things moving.
For a couple years, I would go to Tractor Supply in the spring and specifically choose the sick pasty butt babies to bring home, and meticulously clean and care for them. Out of 10 babies total, I never lost one.
I would always feed them egg yolk. Raw, if it's from your own birds - you don't have to worry about them getting sick. You can also cook it until it's mushy. Easily accessible water - hydration is important. Also, give them enough room to take a break from the heat of the lamp - some chicks just don't do as well with high temps.
And as I said before coconut oil can help. Also, you can apply a little melted on the chick's cloaca area to dissuade more poo sticking.

The worst case I ever dealt with was on this tiny, fat Buff Orpington chick. It took over an hour to wet and clean her bum without getting her too damp and cold, and once it was done, she was also lethargic and incredibly sore from the impaction. She lost a lot of rump fluff, and we could see that her bum was bruised! She would screech every time she pooed, poor thing. But she pulled through after a few rough days, and hopefully yours will too.

I made sure to hand-feed her and would often add water to the egg yolk I fed her to be sure she was hydrated. They should eat feed too, but egg yolk was designed for them, and they find it delicious, so it's the easiest way to get specialized nutrients into them.
