Hi all!
Yesterday while we were away, something horrible happened. My sister let the chickens out, and about 6 of them were out, and the others stayed in. We suspect the wind blew the door closed, keeping the chickens from going back in. When we came home they were soaking wet, but still ok. They all went in fine, but this morning my sister found our 7-8 month old EE standing alone on her roost fluffed up and looked cold. She wasn’t wet, but wasn’t too interested in moving. Her head was tucked down into her. We took her and put her in a box under our reptile heat lamp. She made a couple clucking noises, and walked a bit, but she still fluffed up and cold. We are trying to find our save-a-chick electrolytes. If we can’t find them, I believe we have some Dr. Berg’s electrolytes for humans as well. She doesn’t seem super interested in eating but I didn’t try to get her to eat much. What should we do for her?
She seems very tired and is sleeping a lot. She really isn’t very friendly, but fell asleep even with me touching her. I’m not sure if she’s laying yet. I haven’t seen any Easter eggs, but her supposedly EE sister from TSC with the wrong comb lays brown eggs, so maybe she lays brown eggs too?
Thank you in advance!
