Lethargic after rain storm

I do not really know. Maybe give her water with ACV and Sugar for stress. Have her under the heat lamp. If she wants to sleep let her sleep. Maybe she had a bad night? See id she wants to eat too. I will see if a can get someeslse who knows more than me on here.

You say she seems thirsty, is she having any trouble drinking? Can you give her some water, maybe with electrolytes and a little sugar or honey, by syringe, a few drops at a time? She sounds like she’s in shock from a rough time during the storm. Would she be comforted by being wrapped snuggly and held? Or, if she’s missing her rooster friend, would it be possible to set them up together in a warm situation? Maybe a little crumbled boiled egg.

She‘s a beautiful girl!

Hi there. I would definitely keep her warm and dry. Warm fluids and supportive care. She may be in shock. She got chilled and wet, you may consider getting her an antibiotic. What do her poops look like? Is she eating at all?

You can try my modified "magic chicken water" recipe if you like. It's not a cure all but it has natural antibiotic and supportive characteristics. I do 1/2 cup honey (raw, unpasteurized), 2 tbsp molasses, 2 tbsp fresh chopped oregano (dried is fine), 2 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar, and 2 or 3 cloves of crushed garlic in a gallon of warm water. The longer it steeps the better.

Thank you! Yes, she is having a little trouble drinking, as she is spilling it all over herself, but she is drinking!

Just saw this and I checked the two spots where she roosts (She likes to move to two different spots at night) and saw the same kind of droppings. Going to try corid in her water and see if she improves.

Thank you! She was eating her layer pellets, but having a little trouble getting them down.
She’s looking a little better, and perking up a bit. Just saw this in her box.
