Lethargic Bardrock with prolapsed vent

Soaking in some warm Epsom salts or soapy water with a little Dial soap for about 10-15 minutes would help to soften the crust. The longer the better. Taking a wash rag and rubbing it some after softening may get some of it off. You have to rub a bit, and it can bleed a little, but that is a sign of good healthy tissue, so it is okay. She has a really dried out prolapse, and hopefully, you can get that off. Then coat it with some ointment.

Thanks. Will keep at it.

And still no egg? Can you feel around her abdomen for one? I have read on BYC if you can keep them in the dark for all but four hours a day, it will trigger them to stop laying, and give the prolapse time to heal.
I’ve felt the abdomin and slide a finger in her vent and both ways don’t feel anything that feels like an egg.

Dead skin is off. Her vent went right back in. Now to see if she will start laying again.
Thanks everyone for the advice and help.

Just want to say she is much better. And she is laying eggs again. Thank you to everyone that provided help to get through this.
