I think that would be OK to use, I actually use a prescription strength one at 2.5% and have seen no issues. You can apply that and then honey over it if you want to, that's what I do when I'm having trouble keeping it in.

Sorry for the late update, The little man is outside running around with the others, good as gold, like brand new. He is so sweet so I am so glad I carried on with treatment, thank you all so much for your help and advice
