Lethargic Chicken fluid coming out of mouth, seizing, and died within minutes. What happened??!!

I just had a leghorn do this after two days of fighting. Did anything happen to anyone else in your guys flocks? She is the only one so far that was acting this way. She just died. Had some spasms almost like a seizure squawked twice and had a milky white fluid come out of her mouth. Smelled a little sour. She has always been thin. Has anyone figured out what it was that caused this?

Sounds like she ate something she should have, I found a list of poisonous plants and veggies that chickens should not eat the article was in hobby farms Apricots the leaves and pits, Azaleas all of the plant, Beans if there raw or undercooked, Bulbs from Daffodils, iris, narcissus, tulips and many others, Ferns bracken ferns, Foxglove all part very bad, Holly while not deadly will make them very sick, Lobelia all parts of plant, Lupine all part of plant, Nightshades not all plants in the family will cause death some make them very sick, Oak trees leaves and acorns are bad. The full list is in the artical called poison control from hobby farms.
Hope this helps

Did it say what kind of holly? I have holly vine rowing on one side of my chicken run.

I had an 8 month old Salmon Favorelle named "Honey" who i noticed was laying weird in the dirt. I went up to her and she rolled on her side as if to take a dust bath but didn't move. She didn't scoot away as a pet her and when we picked her up to put her on her feet she went limp. She started having clear fluid come out of her beak. When we massaged her crop, more fluid came out and ground bits of food (?). Her crop felt empty, not like they usually do. She laid back in the dirt listless. She started having what looked like a seizure and died within 15 seconds.

Does anyone have any ideas what happened to my poor hen? My google searches turned up Ascites, sour crop, etc. Im not sure what it was. Im so sad to have lost her. I want to make sure my other hens don't follow suit. =(

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
I had almost this same situation happen to one of my hens today - my hen was acting very lethargic, wouldn't stand up, let me touch her. The time between when I noticed she wasn't well and the time she died was many hours, but when she died, she had what looked like a seizure and then brown fluid started to come out of her beak, and once she died, it started coming out of her eyes and nose. It was horrible and saddening to watch. Did you ever figure out what happened to your hen? Did the same thing happen to the rest of your flock?

If anyone else has any information to share I'd be very grateful to hear it. My hens eat organic chicken feed, and I give them my compost, but I try to only give them things I know wont hurt them.

Same thing happened to mine just yesterday:(( she was only 4 yrs old. She hasn’t been laying eggs either and had the runs. I’ve tried everything, vitamins, DTE, deworming, acv in her water on occasion. Then one day she fell over and had what looked like an agonizing death, clear liquid coming out of her beak, then convulsing, then died within minutes, and even more liquid came out, this time it was a brownish color. I was so sad and hope whatever she had doesn’t affect my 3 other hens! Anyone out there know anything??
