Lethargic chicken, red comb (dark at the tips), low energy, doesn't talk, help!?

I posted here about my Buff Lilac. She died yesterday evening. She tested negative for coccoidosis finally. Took her to vet Saturday. She was having trouble breathing. He gave her a steroid shot, antibiotics to put in her water, theophylline to help her breathe and even though I am old enough to know better I went to bed just sure she would be better the next day. But she was worse. So began her longest day and for me, so painful. I sat on my knees all day long stroking her and telling her I loved her. I put a fan on her. And she died at dusk. She took a little piece of my heart with her. Silly? No.People who love animals understand the intense love a human can feel for an animal

Sorry for your loss. Have comfort knowing that you provided her the best care possible and was able to provide compassion in the last moments of her life. It never gets easier. I wish you the best.
