Lethargic chicken

I don’t think so but very well could be. I haven’t found any more of the lash eggs since then. My vet thinks that was from our 8 year old hen who isn’t laying eggs but he thinks she is having trouble digesting. I have never seen the old girl lay in that spot before but I have seen this one lay there. My vet is just a regular vet who is very patient with me. She is drinking more than usual.

Sounds possibly egg bound! Can you carefully check for an egg? Lube your finger (gloves), insert into vent 1 to 2 inches straight in to see if there is an egg. Have you a Tums or a calcium supplement? I would give her one anyway. If egg bound it's urgent!
I have oaster shells I’ll try to feed her. I didnt feel anything but I do have short fingers.

When I have a bird that is acting 'off'......
I'd isolate bird in a wire cage within the coop for a day or two....so you can closely monitor their intake of food and water, crop function(checking at night and in morning before providing more feed), and their poops. Feel their abdomen, from below vent to between legs, for squishy or hard swelling.

Best to put crate right in coop or run so bird is still 'with' the flock.
I like to use a fold-able wire dog crate (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) with smaller mesh(1x2) on bottom of crate under tray.
Then you can put tray underneath crate to better observe droppings without it being stepped in. If smaller mesh is carefully installed, tray can still be used inside crate.
