Lethargic Duck Overnight, Possibly Egg Bound or Poisoning?

@Quatie @Miss Lydia Wait followup question: what does it mean that I am hearing a crackling crinkling noise coming from her belly/vent area? I have heard this noise from time to time for a few weeks and have even heard it a couple of months ago... is this an egg noise? or a stomach noise? Its a very loud noise...

I got it in ok! but its been two hours now and no change :( how often do I repeat?
You can use it twice in a day. It can sometimes take a while to pass the egg. Are you still soaking her in water? I would try it again for another hour or so.

If she is unable to pass it, it will need to be removed. If you can, that is when you would want to take her to a vet. If that is not an option for you, I am not experienced with that, but I believe @Isaac 0 knows how to do that.

Unless the egg is near the cloaca opening it is very hard to manually remove the egg. In some cases, where the egg is stuck close to the cloaca, ovocentesis can be performed which merely consists of sticking a needle into the egg, withdrawing fluid, then collapsing the shell with forceps and retrieving the material.
@graypes , could you post a few pictures of the duck, or better yet a video?

Yes, wrap them in a towel and sit with them on your lap holding her with your left arm close and securely to your body.

Once they are calmed down use your left hand and take your thumb and index finger and try to pry her mouth open using both those fingers (and nails which you will probably have to use to open the bill).

Holding on securely take your syringe and aim it down the DUCK'S RIGHT side of her mouth. That is very important so you don't get the liquid (or pill) down the trachea which is in the middle.

It usually works overnight but you can give another dose just before bed again if you feel you need to. 1 ml. Then hopefully you will have an egg in the morning.

If you've got other girls and want to be sure this one laid an egg you can put food coloring in her vent. I usually bring them into the kitchen and lay them out on a towel on the counter with my husband holding them while I dig around for the vent. It's not as easy to find as I thought it would be. I put a few drops of food coloring right in and around the vent. My favorite color is blue! Just don't let her go swimming after the food coloring or it will be gone.

Gave her a second dose around 1030 (late I know couldn't be helped)

Hopefully we see improvement tomorrow, if not I will call the vet!

I'm not even sure if she is egg bound to be honest, I thought I felt something just below her ribs but I am not sure. But she is definitely not eating and not laying. I was trying to get her to stop laying and molt which she started, but once she stopped moving and eating, I got worried that maybe I shocked her too much into going broody? I'm not sure what to dooooo ack.
