Hello!
Our 1 year old we purchased off someone a bit over a month ago that we've been treating for bumblefoot has now become lethargic. I don't think the lethargy is due to bumblefoot spreading to her bones/blood since it's not that bad. Yesterday morning she seemed completely fine. She ran out across the yard to meet me (with the others) with their pea and ice water treat since it's so hot out here. Throughout the afternoon instead of wandering around with the flock, she was by herself walking slowly, or standing still, or the odd time she was sometimes turning slowly in circles like she was confused. We put her to bed by herself last night and I don't think she moved from the place we set her. We opened the door and she was just standing there with her head tucked in a little bit. We had to move her out of the segregation area as it gets quite hot in there during the day.. now she's just standing in the same spot not really moving. She laid an egg yesterday morning so I don't think she's egg bound. I can't say I've seen her eat since the peas. We let them free range and she hasn't been doing much of that and I haven't seen her go to the food or water.
It's really hot and muggy here right now. All our other chickens and ducks seem to be in good spirits and we're giving them lots of cold water and shade. We'll keep an eye on her and write up any updates or different things we notice. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated!
