lethargic hen please help

Ther is no vet around her bet took her off fish zole and she is standing and trying to walk she is so sweet we have come to far to turn back whats your advice what wouldd youd do if she were yours other than cull thanks

I would start by giving her a thorough exam which includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Remove or trim soiled feathers.
  • Check for cuts, discolorations, swellings, bruising, etc
  • Inspect eyes, mouth and throat.
  • Check for smells from eyes, mouth throat and vent.
  • Check crop - is it empty, full, hard, squishy, etc.
  • Check inside of vent for stuck egg or other masses - You will need gloves and KY Jelly for this.
  • Inspect poop - color, shape, smell.
  • Weigh on digital kitchen scale - Walmart and Target have these.
  • Dust for mites/lice with poultry dust, not DE, even if I cannot see any.
  • Deworm with Safeguard at 50mg/kg by mouth - You need a scale and Safeguard for this.

I weighed her, she weighs a little over three pounds, she pants with her beak open, she did this about two ago, but not as bad, we have another hen that opens her beak really wide almost like she's trying to crow, I don't know if that might be a symptom of something more serious. I dusted her with seven dust, I clipped all of her dirty feathers on her bottom. She is still eating and drinking. I forgot to mention earlier that this weekend she had impacted crop as did another hen, hers got worse and she got sour crop, her crop felt squishy, so I held her neck straight, tilted her forward and massaged her crop, a bunch of yellow junk came out, she has been really weak since then and not able to walk. We had this happen with another one a few weeks ago, but I found out about it too late and she died. I treated the whole flock with corid for cocci, because I had no idea what it could be, two tsp per gallon, but I was never sure about the exact dosage, I will treat again once they are off wormer. After corid, I put her on safe gaurd, for 7 days, but not sure if it was the right dosage, but I read on another thread to give a pea size amount, so I did. I now have her on valbazen to kill any other worms. Should I keep her on valbazen or go back to safe guard at a higher dosage? Thanks for all the help.

She is still eating and drinking, she is walking a little bit better, I checked for egg binding, but didn't find anything. Her comb and wattles are still very pale, almost completly drained of color. I noticed today that she has little red dots on her her wattles, and right beside one of her wattles is a red mark that looks like blood or a cut, but does not look like an open wound. I'm not sure what this could be a symtom of. She is still breathing hard and panting with beak open, I think she might have a respiratory problem. I have both tetracycline and tylan 50, not sure which I should go with. Would it be ok to give either of these with the wormer?

On a closer look it appears that this is blood that has come to the surface of her skin right beside her wattles. I'm not sure what this means or if it's anything to worry about. She still has runny green poop. She can stand and walk a little but is still having a hard time. I am just going to continue with the valbazen since I have already had her on safe gaurd. I also have her on tetracycline hoping that this might help with the heavy breathing and panting. I am hoping for the best.

I notice today that the wattle is swollen and below it is what looks like crusty blood. What can cause her wattles to swell like this? She is inside in a cage in a seperate room, so there is no way she could have hurt herself. Is it possible that she has cholera? I have sulmet, should I treat her with it? If so should I treat the whole flock?
