My girl is about 26 weeks old, a speckled Sussex. She has a pale comb, runny yellow poo and is lethargic. She's been this way for a few days. I've been forcing her to drink electrolyte water mixed with cayenne after scouring the internet and this forum. Pic of her and the poo, sorry in advance.

She has laid regularly since 18 weeks, obviously not now. We had a bout of coccidiosis about a month and a half ago, all were treated.

How exactly did you treat the coccidiosis?

Have you ever deformed your flock?
What exactly for you feed?

Can you feel her belly area and compare it to a flock mate's and report back?

@Kiki I used Corrid in the water for 5 days for all birds, 1.25 TBS powder per gallon.

I have not dewormed yet.

I feed Nutrena layer pellets 16% and starter crumble 18% and oyster shell free feed, as some girls are just at 18 weeks now. She really hasn't eaten too much in a few days.

I've checked for an egg in the vent and nothing there. Belly comparison is close to the same although Miss Betty Boop is a little less firm.

Do you feed treats?
How many birds do you have total?
Any new birds?

I feed treats while I'm in the yard with them, usually fruit, vegetables, etc.

I have 13 total at this point, none new.

How is she doing now?
The poop looks "eggy" to me. Did you see a soft shell or membrane laying around anywhere?

I would suspect she may have had a soft shell or shell less egg that leaked, but that's just a guess.
Hopefully she has perked up, but if she hasn't, this is what I would do if she were mine.
Direct dose her with poultry vitamins like Poultry Cell at a rate of 1cc per 3 pounds of weight once a day for 3 days. I would also give her extra Calcium (1 TUMS or 1/2 Caltrate) once a day for 3 days. If she's still lethargic and doesn't seem well, I would also consider giving an antibiotic. I would hate to give meds to a pullet like this, but I would worry about infection if egg had leaked from the membrane. My choice would be to use Amoxicillin at a dose of 57mg per pound of weight, given orally twice a day for 5-7 days. Do keep in mind antibiotics are used off label, it would be a good idea to research withdrawal periods and also consider if you or whomever will consume her eggs in the immediate future would be allergic to the medications you administer.
