Lethargic hen with yellow urates

She is doing a bit better. She wasn’t just sitting on the perch inside today like she was yesterday. Her comb is a lot less pale too. I let her out to play with the flock for an hour or so but then it started pouring (like POURING) so she ended up getting to sleep with everyone else today. I’ll probably bring her inside tomorrow just for a few hours to see how her poops look before letting her back out but she seemed pretty okay to be with everyone. This was her yesterday View attachment 4176415
She is so cute! I’m glad she is doing better!

Is she still having the yellow urates today? The vet might start some meloxicam and an antibiotic that could help if she has a reproductive infection or the beginnings of salpingitis (inflamed oviduct.) Amoxicillan or enrofloxacin are commonly used for those. Vets are not usually allowed to prescribe enro though. You can get it online though and we can help with dosage. There is not a whole lot else a vet can do for any of those diseases. Xrays and lab work are very expensive and many times don’t give answers.

Is her crop emptying?

If she's not laid an egg and has a history of soft shell eggs, I'd consider giving her extra Calcium for a few days to see if she expels and egg or some lash material.
I am so sorry I completely missed this. Yes her crop is emptying and I’ve been giving her extra calcium the past few days

It’s lead from pellet guns in her gizzard. It’s most likely what killed my favorite hen last month

So what I’m doing now is just clearing out an 100 square foot area around each of the shooting areas at least 6 inches deep and will replace it with topsoil
