I've got a hen who's been acting a little lethargic the last couple days. She's still getting up to eat and drink but she walks slowly and spends most of the day laying down.
When I got her a couple of month ago she had lice and shortly after became ill with a respiratory infection which have both been treated and gone for a while now. I've checked her for egg binding and looked at her crop but both look fine. All I can think of is that she may have eaten some honeysuckle berries from a tree I took down (ironically to keep them from eating the berries.)
Has anyone else had an issue like this or any guesses to what could be wrong?

This happened to one of my hens a few months ago , I now belive she had fly strike since when she passed away she had maggots coming out of her vent area. Good luck to you and your baby

Welcome to BYC. Lethargy and sitting around in a hen might be due to different problems, but internal laying or egg yolk peritonitis might be possible causes. There is no real treatment to cure these problems, although a vet may try antibiotics to prolong life. If possible, I would get some fresh droppings checked by by a vet for coccidiosis and worms, just to rule those out first. Here is some reading:

Just wanted to update everyone on our hen. She was in chicken hospital for three days with some yellow ,watery poops and acting a little lethargic. One the second day she was acting fine but still had diarrhea so I kept her in one more day and all day she pooped normal and was anxious to be outside, she got very fed up with her kennel. I let her back into the flock a week ago and she's been totally fine ever since. My theory is that she ate some honeysuckle berries and had an upset stomach.
