So for those of you who have been following me I have treated my hens for Coccidia and Round worm - Capillaris. Only one of 3 fecal samples tested positive. NOW, after Corid and Panacur, I have a hen in a corner, eyes closed and limp. She was fine yesterday!! Help!

Have you seen her eating and drinking yesterday and today?

Are you comfortable with tube feeding her?
Start with electrolyte water only first.

She was eating, drinking and being the top dog as recent as this morning.

To be honest I doubt she will make until tomorrow.

I'm so frustrated as to what is going on!

If she had a lot of worms and cocci for a long time it has probably taken it's toll on her body.

I have 10. One I knew was sick and she tested positive for both. Two samples from the 9 others tested negative to all parasites.

I have treated all 10 as if they had both.

It blows my mind that one day they are fine and the next day partying with the grim reaper. Or in this case in the same day. With NO SYMPTOMS.

I am ready to hang my hat up.

Did you take the actually chickens to the vet or just the poop?
Can you bring her to the vet now?
I don't know where you are located, so they may be closing or closed??

No, I brought poop. The nearest chicken vet is available one or 3 days a week.

How were you able to keep track of who's poop was who's?

The very sick chicken was isolated. I know the poop of a second one and the 3rd sample was a mystery. The very sick isolated chicken tested positive for coccidia and capalaris. The other 2 samples were negative to all parasites.

I treated ALL 10 chickens as if they had Coccidia and Capillaris.
